Cheerleading Teams

To find out which cheer teams will suit yourself or your child the best please see our team list below. All level 1 teams are beginner teams and no prior experience is required. Everyone can be part of a level 1 team. Should you wish to look into a more advanced team then tryouts for levels 2-4 can be arranged by emailing info@edgefitness.com.au or calling 9325 9471

Mini Level 1 Cheer 
Edge Cheerleading Port Kennedy

Name: Dragontails

Age Group:  8yrs and Younger

Training Times: Monday 4-5pm Saturday 8.30-9.30am

Requirements: This team is great for beginners; there are no requirements to join this team.

Youth Level 1 Cheer 

Name: Euphoria

Age Group:  11yrs and Younger

Training Times: Tuesday 6-7pm & Saturday 9-11am

Requirements: This team is great for beginners; there are no requirements to join this team.

Junior Level 1 Cheer 
Edge Cheerleading Port Kennedy

Name: Euthalia

Age Group:  14yrs and Younger

Training Times: Monday 5-6:30pm & Friday 4-7pm

Requirements: This team is great for beginners; there are no requirements to join this team.

Junior Level 2 Cheer 

Name: Excellency

Age Group:  14yrs and Younger

Training Times: 4-6pm Thursday & Saturday 10-12am

Requirements: This team requires a higher skill level in tumbling and stunting than a level 1 team. To join this team a tryout can be organised by contacting info@edgefitness.com.au

Senior Level 3 Cheer (Junior in 2017)
Edge Cheerleading Port Kennedy

Name: Atlantis

Age Group:  14yrs and Younger

Training Times: Monday 6-8.30pm & Friday 4-6pm 

Requirements: As a level 3 this team requires a higher skill level in tumbling and stunting than a level 1 or 2 team. Further the Edge travelling teams require a higher number of training hours and extra commitments in regards to workshops, strength and conditioning and will compete at extra competitions.

This Edge Team is travelling teams and will be traveling interstate and possibly overseas. This travel is a requirement of the teams and as part these teams and their families are also required to be involved in the fundraising for this travel.

Senior Level 1 Cheer  Edge Cheerleading Port Kennedy

Name: Elusion

Age Group:  10yrs – 18yrs

Training Times:  Wednesday 7-9pm & Thursday 5-7pm

Requirements: This team is great for beginners; there are no requirements to join this team.

Senior Level 2 Cheer 

Name: Empiricals

Age Group:  10yrs – 18yrs

Training Times: Thursday 7-9pm & Saturday 11am-1pm.


Requirements: This team requires a higher skill level in tumbling and stunting than a level 1 team. To join this team a tryout can be organised by contacting info@edgefitness.com.au

 

Senior Level 4 Cheer 
Edge Cheerleading Port Kennedy

Name: Edge Elite Monarchs

Age Group:  10yrs – 18yrs

Training Times: Wednesday 4-6pm, Thursday 6-8pm and Saturday 3- 6pm (Saturdays at Cockburn)

Requirements: As a level 4 this team requires a higher skill level in tumbling and stunting than a level 1 or 2 team. Further the Edge travelling teams require a higher number of training hours and extra commitments in regards to workshops, strength and conditioning and will compete at extra competitions.

Open Level 1 Cheer

Age Group:  18yrs and over (the open category is 14yrs and over however this team is kept to athletes turning 18yrs and over)

Training Times: Tuesday  7-9pm

Special Needs Teams

Name: Edge Cheer & Dance Ability

Age Group:  Junior 14yrs and Under, Senior 10yrs to 18yrs.

Training Times:
Junior : Tuesday 4pm-5pm 
Senior : Tuesday 5pm-6pm
